On 2 February, the Global CCS Institute hosted a webinar exploring the rapidly growing role of CO₂ shipping in the deployment of carbon capture and storage (CCS). Today, shipping is steadily emerging as an attractive alternative for CO₂ transport, offering economic advantages over long‑distance pipeline transport as well as greater logistical flexibility and volume versatility.

Be a part of the Institute’s annual Americas Forum on Carbon Capture and Storage, where senior leaders from government, industry, finance, NGOs, and academia will convene to take part in high-level dialogues aimed at accelerating deployment across the Americas.
Held on 12 May in Washington, D.C., the engaging program will include expert panels and in-depth discussions on CCS policy, technology, investment, and project development.

Registration is now open for the Global CCS Institute’s 2026 APAC Forum on Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), which will take place in Adelaide, Australia, from 17–21 August. Focused on international collaboration, the APAC Forum on CCS will bring together leaders and experts from governments, CCS projects, technology providers, and service companies to discuss the advancement of the CCS industry across the region and globally. Participants will have the opportunity to expand their networks, gain insights from plenary sessions and expert panels, and engage in interactive workshops. For the first time, the forum will also feature a two-day CCS 101 training course for early-career professionals.
